Abstract
Cilj rada je upoznati problematiku konzumerizma, ali i njen utjecaj na obitelji u suvremenom društvu. Provođenje velikog broja sati na poslu utječe na odnose unutar obitelji. Roditelji su sve umorniji, željni zarade kako bi mogli priuštiti djetetu ono što želi. Djeca pak s druge strane žude za pažnjom roditelja. Ova tema važna je za pedagogijsku znanost i struku jer suvremeno društvo nameće potrošnju kao glavnu svrhu zarade, ali i kao svrhu života, tj. „imati znači biti“. Tema obilježja suvremene obitelji u razdoblju konzumerizma važna je jer nam pomaže shvatiti promjene koje su nastale u društvu, te nam otkriva najbolje načine kako se nositi s tim promjenama ili kako im se prilagoditi. Na temelju prethodne analize može se zaključiti kako suvremeno konzumerističko društvo donosi promjene, polako se gube tradicionalne obitelji i tradicionalni stilovi odgoja, a pojavljuju se nove vrste obitelji poput fast-food obitelji ili virtualnih obitelji. Također se susrećemo sa pedocentrizmom koji predstavlja glavni stil roditeljstva u suvremenoj obitelji.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this work is to get acquainted with the problem of consumerism, but also its impact on families in contemporary society. Spending a lot of hours at work affects relationships within the family. Parents are increasingly tired, eager to make money so that they can afford their child what they want. On the other hand, children crave the attention of their parents. Modern society imposes consumption as the main purpose of profit, but also as the purpose of life, to have is to be. The theme of the characteristics of contemporary family in the era of consumerism is salient because it helps us understand the changes that have taken place in society, and shows us the best ways to cope with or adapt to these changes. Due to everything that modern consumer society brings to us, traditional families and traditional upbringing styles are slowly losing their way, and new types of families such as fast-food families or virtual families are emerging. We also encounter pedocentrism, which is the main style of parenting in the contemporary family.
