Abstract U radu se opisuju govori slavonskoga dijalekta, podravskoga poddijalekta. Izabrani su
govori sljedećih mjesta: Črnkovci, Gat, Marijanci, Brođanci, Podravski Podgajci. Istraživanja
pokazuju kako govori toga područja nisu opisani još od sredine prošloga stoljeća, od
istraživanja Josipa Hamma 1949. i Stjepana Sekereša 1974. godine. U novije vrijeme ipak
postoje opisi govora pojedinih mjesta, ali cjelovitih sintetskih radova koji bi opisivali govore
slavonskoga dijalekta podravskoga poddijalekta nema. Svrha je rada opis današnjih govora
Črnkovaca, Gata, Marijanaca, Brođanaca i Podravskih Podgajaca te njihova usporedba sa
stanjem kakvo su zatekli Josip Hamm i Stjepan Sekereš.
Istraživanje pokazuje da podravski govori na razini fonologije uglavnom vrlo dobro
čuvaju staro stanje – čuju se akut i šćakavizam, glas se h uglavnom reducira, izgovor glasova
ć i đ bliži je izgovoru glasova č i dž.
najviše starine, nego valja reći kako to ovisi o govorniku samome.
Utjecaj grada, škole, svih vrsta medija te suvremenoga načina života snažno je utjecao
na proučavane govore, posebice na mlađe stanovništvo. Starije je stanovništvo održalo u
mnogo većoj mjeri staroštokavske osobine i održat će ih dok god bude i njih. S obzirom na to,
krajnji je trenutak istražiti te govore, staviti na papir rezultate istraživanja te imati snimljene
zapise govora kako bi ostali sačuvani odrazi govora ljudi na tim prostorima u jednome
presjeku vremena.
Abstract (english) The paper describes local speeches of the Slavonian dialect, the Podravina sub-dialect.
The chosen speeches are found in the following places: Črnkovci, Gat, Marijanci, Brođanci,
Podravski Podgajci. Research has shown that local speeches in these places have not been
described since the middle of the previous century, since the research of Josip Hamm in 1949
and Stjepan Sekereš in 1974. Descriptions of local speeches of some places do exist in recent
years, but there is no complete synthetic scientific paper to describe local speeches of the
Slavonian dialect of the Podravina sub-dialect. The purpose of this paper is to describe
today’s local speeches of Črnkovci, Gat, Marijanci, Brođanci and Podravski Podgajci and
their comparison with the findings of Josip Hamm and Stjepan Sekereš.
The research shows that, on the phonological level, Podravina speeches have
preserved their previous state very well – one can hear the Croatian acute and Šćakavism, the
sound h is mostly reduced, the pronunciation of the sounds ć and đ is closer to the
pronunciation of the sounds č and dž.
On the morphological level, one can occasionally hear old forms of the genitive, the locative
and the instrumental case of plural nouns, but there is also a notable tendency for assimilation
of the three plural cases, especially when it comes to nouns which are not toponyms.
The 3rd person plural of the present case still preserves the case endings -eju and -iju and the
case ending -u.
The media and the modern way of life have influenced the local speeches in all
researched places – the standard language is accepted as the common form of communication.
The old language is mostly spoken by older speakers, whereas younger speakers abandon the
local speeches because they are losing their social prestige. Also, sometimes the same speaker
uses a certain linguistic unit in local speech and then again in standard form, which shows
obvious influence of the media and the standard language. Thus, it is not simple to answer the
question which of the places keeps the most of the old language, for it depends on the speaker
himself.
The influence of the city, school, all kinds of media and the modern way of life has
strongly affected the studied speeches, especially with the younger speakers. The older
citizens have preserved the old-Štokavian traits to a much greater extent, and they will
continue to preserve them as long as they live. Therefore, now is the last opportunity to study
these speeches, to put the research results to paper and to make records in order to preserve
the reflections of speech of the people in this area in one cross-section in time.
