Abstract
Diese Abschlussarbeit befasst sich mit den Motiven von Augen, Sehen, Sicht etc. im Kontext der Werke des romantischen Schriftstellers E. T. A. Hoffmann. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Häufigkeit dieser eng verwandten Motive und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Handlung und auf die Charaktere und ihre Wahrnehmung der Realität und anderer Personen in ihrer Umgebung zu bestimmen. Neben dem Einfluss dieser Motive auf die Charaktere und ihre Wahrnehmung von Ereignissen ist es auch wichtig, einige der weniger offensichtlichen Bedeutungen der genannten Motive zu analysieren. In die Analyse dieser eng verwandten Motive werden E. T. A. Hoffmanns Sandmann, Prinzessin Brambilla und Meister Floh eingeschlossen.
