Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati odnos budućeg radnog selfa i psiholoških te ponašajnih karakteristika poput osobina ličnosti, uključivanja u nepoželjna organizacijska ponašanja, sklonosti moralnom distanciranju te odgovora u zadatku Igre diktatora. Također, istraživanjem se provjerila povezanost navedenih karakteristika koje bi mogle pomoći u prepoznavanju tzv. uhljeba – osoba koje su do radnog mjesta došle putem rodbinskih veza ili političkom participacijom, a povezuju se s radom u javnom sektoru i nezadovoljavajućim kompetencijama za to radno mjesto. Budući radni self odnosi se na mentalnu reprezentaciju sebe u budućnosti koja objedinjuje pojedinčeve želje i težnje povezane s radnim mjestom. Moguće je kako je upravo tendencija prema uhljebljivanju povezana s budućim radnim selfom. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od N = 196 studenata Sveučilišta u Osijeku. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su značajnu pozitivnu korelaciju između salijentnosti budućeg radnog selfa te osjetljivosti bihevioralno aktivacijskog sustava. Nadalje, nisu pronađene statistički značajne razlike u ispitanim psihološkim i ponašajnim karakteristikama s obzirom na preferirani sektor rada. K-means klaster analiza je pokazala razlike između pretpostavljena četiri klastera s obzirom na elaboriranost radnog selfa i organizacijsku devijantnost te je moguće da bi upravo ove dvije karakteristike mogle biti indikativne u prepoznavanju tendencije prema uhljebljivanju. Važno je naglasiti kako se radi o eksplorativnom istraživanju stoga nije opravdano generalizirati dobivene rezultate na ukupnu studentsku populaciju te su potrebna daljnja istraživanja kako bi se ispitao odnos budućeg radnog selfa i tendencije prema uhljebljivanju.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between future work self and psychological and behavioral characteristics like personality traits, counterproductive work behaviors, moral disengagement and the Dictator game. Also, the research examined the relationship between characteristics that may be useful in recognition of possible “uhljebi” - a person who has become a public sector employee through a nepotistic relationship or political party affiliation, normally without the required skills or qualifications for that position. Future work self refers to an individual’s representation of himself or herself in the future that reflects his or her hopes and aspirations in relation to work. It is possible that tendency toward being an “uhljeb” is related to future work self. The research was conducted on the sample of N = 196 students of University in Osijek. The results suggest significant positive relationship between future work self and behavioral activation system (BAS). Also there were no significant differences in examined psychological and behavioral traits among students who prefer public sector and students who prefer private sector. K-means analysis suggests four clusters which differed in future work self elaboration and organizational deviance and it is possible that combination of those two characteristics may indicate tendency toward “uhljebljivanju”. It is important to emphasize several limitations of this study. Because of its’ explorative nature, it is not recommended to generalize given results to whole student population and more research is required in order to examine relationship between future work self and tendency toward “uhljebljivanju”.
