Abstract
Cilj je ovog rada popisati i opisati germanizme u govoru Otoka. Rad se temelji na terenskom istraživanju i na literaturi. Ispitanici su ljudi koji su rođeni u Otoku i koji su upućeni u tadašnje običaje, zanate i znaju stare otočke riječi koje su bile neophodne za stvaranje ovog rada. Korpus germanizama analizira se s obzirom na vrste riječi, područja izvanjezične stvarnosti kojima riječi iz korpusa pripadaju te njihovu fonološku, morfološku i semantičku adaptaciju. Germanizmi polako nestaju iz živoga govora, a zamjenjuju ih riječi iz standardnog jezika. Ako je riječ iz standarda pokrila značenje u kojem su se germanizmi prije koristili, oni sada svoj opstanak produžuju na druge načine.
