Abstract
Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati odnos između akademske prokrastinacije i akademskog postignuća, akademske samoefikasnosti, samoregulacije, samopoštovanja te samoefikasnosti za samoregulaciju. Postavljene su dvije hipoteze: (1) Postoji negativna povezanost između akademske prokrastinacije i akademskog postignuća, akademske samoefikasnosti, akademske samoregulacije, samopoštovanja te samoefikasnosti za samoregulaciju (2) Samoefikasnost za samoregulaciju predviđa akademsku prokrastinaciju, nakon... More što se kontrolira efekt akademskog postignuća, akademske samoefikasnosti, samoregulacije i samopoštovanja. U istraživanju su obrađeni podaci prikupljeni od strane 289 studenata. Za ispitivanje akademske prokrastinacije korišten je Tuckmanov upitnik prokrastinacije. Pri procjeni akademske samoefikasnosti i samoregulacije korištene su dvije skale MLSQ upitnika – Skala metakognitivne samoregulacije i Skala samoefikasnosti. Rosenbergova skala samopoštovanja korištena je za procjenu samopoštovanja, a za procjenu samoefikasnosti za samoregulaciju korištena je Zimmermanova skala samoefikasnosti za samoregulaciju. Od studenata su prikupljeni još i podaci o uspjehu koji su ostvarili na studiju u svrhu procjene akademskog postignuća. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da je akademska prokrastinacija povezana s niskim postignućem, niskim stupnjem akademske samoefikasnosti, samoregulacije, samopoštovanja te samoefikasnosti za samoregulaciju. Također, hijerarhijskom regresijskom analizom utvrđeno je da je samoefikasnost za samoregulaciju najbolji prediktor akademske prokrastinacije. Less
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between academic procrastination and academic achievement, academic self-efficacy, self-regulation, self-esteem and self-efficacy for self regulation. Two hypotheses were set (1) There will be a negative correlation between academic procrastination and academic achievement, academic self-efficacy, self-regulation, self-esteem and self-efficacy for self regulation (2) After controlling for academic self-efficacy, self-regulation and... More self-esteem, self-efficacy for self regulation will be the strongest predictor of academic procrastination. The study explored data collected from 289 students. Academic procrastination was assessed by Tuckman procrastination scale. Two scales of MLSQ were used for assessing academic self-efficacy and self-regulation – Self-efficacy scale and Metacognitive self-regulation scale. Rosenberg self-esteem scale was used as a measure of self-esteem. Self-efficacy for self-regulation was measured by Zimmerman Self-efficacy for self-regulation scale. Academic achievement was assessed by students’ self reported GPA. The results reveal that academic procrastination is connected with lower levels of academic achievement, academic self-efficacy, self-regulation, self-esteem and selfefficacy for self-regulation. Hierarchical regression showed that self-efficacy for self-regulation was the strongest predictor of academic procrastination after controlling for academic self-efficacy, self-regulation and self-esteem.
