Abstract
Tema ovog rada i cilj istraživanja je povijesni razvoj alternativnih škola. Paralelno s utemeljenjem razredno-predmetno-satnog sustava, mnogi su pedagozi, filozofi, psiholozi pa čak i liječnici, nezadovoljni takvim rješenjem, ponudili svoje pedagoške koncepte za poboljšanje odgojno-obrazovnog procesa kojim bi školu približili potrebama i prirodi djeteta. U radu su prikazane osnovne karakteristike stare, tradicionalne škole i njezini utemeljitelji te su ukratko iznesene osnovne crte reformne pedagogije i sadržaj pojma alternativne škole. Istražena su i opisana temeljna pedagoška načela, didaktička obilježja i strategije alternativnih škola, uloga učitelja i položaj učenika u alternativnim školama te materijali, pribor, mjesto izvođenja nastave i način vrjednovanja. Autorica zaključuje rad usporedbom alternativnih i tradicionalnih škola i naglašava važnost školskog pluralizma kao neizostavnog elementa suvremenog, liberalnog i demokratskog društva.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this thesis and the aim of the research is the historical development of alternative schools.Parallel with the establishment of the class-subject-lesson system, many educators, philosophers, psychologists and even doctors, unhappy with such a solution, offered their own pedagogical concepts for the improvement of educational process and bringing school closer to the needs and nature of a child. The thesis describes the basic features of the old, traditional school and its founders, and briefly outlines the basics of reform pedagogy and content of the term alternative school. It investigates and describes the fundamental pedagogical principles, learning characteristics and strategies of alternative schools, the teacher's role and position of pupils in alternative schools, materials, equipment, classrooms and rooms where lessons are performed and methods of student evaluation. The author concludes by comparing alternative and traditional schools and stresses the importance of educational pluralism as a vital element of a modern, liberal and democratic society.
