Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati razlike u doživljaju bolesti između bolesnika s dijabetesom i multiplom sklerozom. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 133 bolesnika. U istraživanju su korišteni sljedeći instrumenti: Anketni upitnik i Skraćeni upitnik doživljaja bolesti IPQ-B. Rezultati pokazuju da se bolesnici s dijabetesom statistički značajno razlikuju od bolesnika s multiplom sklerozom u dimenzijama utjecaja, identiteta, zabrinutosti i emocionalnog odgovora. Potvrđena je hipoteza koja kaže da će se dimenzija identiteta, odnosno simptoma statistički značajno razlikovati između bolesnika koji boluju od dijabetesa i bolesnika koji boluju od multiple skleroze, pri čemu je dimenzija više izražena kod pacijenata s multiplom sklerozom. Utvrđeno je da postoji značajna povezanost trajanja bolesti i dimenzije simptoma bolesti (identitet bolesti) kod bolesnika s multiplom sklerozom, no ne i kod bolesnika s dijabetesom tipa 2. Također, nađena je visoka pozitivna povezanost između dimenzija emotivnog odgovora i utjecaja bolesti kod obje skupine bolesnika.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to examine differences in illness perception between patients with diabetes and patients with multiple sclerosis. The study was conducted on a sample of 133 patients. Instruments that were used are: Questionnaire and Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire IPQ-B. Results show that patients with multiple sclerosis have significantly stronger illness identity than patients with diabetes mellitus type 2, which confirms our hypothesis. Also, results have pointed to significant negative correlation between duration of illness and illness identity in group of patients with multiple sclerosis, as well as significant high correlation between emotional response and illness consequences in both groups of patients.
