The objectives of this study were to explore the relationship between coronavirus and earthquake exposure, emotional difficulties and attitudes toward psychological help-seeking, that is contribution of listed traumatic events and emotional difficulties in explaining attitudes toward psychological help-seeking. The study involved 349 adults in different age groups, collected by advertising on social network platforms. To examine the study problem few questionnaries were used: Sociodemographic questionnaire, COVID-19 and earthquake exposure questionnaire, Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (Lovibond and Lovibond, 1995a), Impact of the Event Scale (Thoresen and al., 2010), and Atittudes toward psychological help-seeking questionnaire (Jakovčić and Živčić-Bećirević, 2009). The results showed significant positive correlation between earthquake exposure and emotional difficulties except for posttraumatic symptoms due to pandemic, and positive correlation between all attitudes toward psychological help-seeking determinants. Similarly, positive correlations between coronavirus exposure, all examined emotional difficulties, and willingness to seek professional help were obtained. Further analysis showed positive predictors of attitudes toward psychological help-seeking are earthquake exposure, stress and posttraumatic symptoms due to pandemic. On the other side, depression proved to be negative predictor of attitudes toward pychological help-seeking. Stated results suggest there is a tendency towards positive attitudes about psychological help-seeking in the context of the pandemic and earthquake, except with people who have increased depressive symptoms; they are showing tendency towards negative attitudes about psychological help-seeking.
