Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati odnos razine percipirane prijetnje od koronavirusa s mjerama dobrobiti, akademske prilagodbe i akademskim postignućem tijekom pandemije koronavirusa. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 302 sudionika u rasponu dobi od 18 do 28 godina, od kojih je 108 (33,8%) bilo muškog roda, 197 (65,2%) bilo ženskog roda, 2 (0,7%) sudionika označilo kako njihov rod nije obuhvaćen odgovorima te je 1 (0,3%) sudionik odbio izjasniti se po pitanju roda. Korišteni su Upitnik osnovnih psiholoških potreba, Skraćena verzija skale pozitivnih i negativnih afektivnih doživljaja, Indeks osobne kvalitete života, Upitnik akademske prilagodbe, Upitnik percipirane prijetnje od koronavirusa te pitanje vezano uz akademsko postignuće tijekom pandemije koronavirusa. Rezultati ukazuju na postojanje negativne povezanosti rezultata na Upitniku percipirane prijetnje od koronavirusa s rezultatima na subskali neprilagođenost (Upitnik akademske prilagodbe) te negativnim temeljnim afektom u proteklih mjesec dana. Regresijskim analizama utvrđeno je kako su generalno zadovoljstvo životom te pozitivni i negativni temeljni afekt u proteklih mjesec dana značajni pozitivni prediktori prosjeka ocjena dobivenih tijekom pandemije koronavirusa. Pozitivni temeljni afekt u proteklih mjesec dana i generalno zadovoljstvo životom utvrđeni su kao pozitivni prediktori akademske prilagođenosti, dok je negativni temeljni afekt u proteklih mjesec dana negativan prediktor akademske prilagođenosti. Kod predviđanja akademske neprilagođenosti, značajnim pozitivnim prediktorima pokazali su se percipirana prijetnja od koronavirusa i negativni temeljni afekt u proteklih mjesec dana, a pozitivni temeljni afekt u proteklih mjesec dana i generalno zadovoljstvo životom negativni su prediktori akademske neprilagođenosti. Zadovoljenje osnovnih psiholoških potreba nije se pokazalo kao značajan prediktor niti jednog kriterija.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the level of perceived threat of coronavirus with measures of well-being, academic adjustment and academic achievement obtained during the coronavirus epidemic. The study involved 302 participants ranging in age from 18 to 28 years, of which 108 (33.8%) were male, 197 (65.2%) were female, 2 (0.7%) indicated that their gender was not included in the responses and 1 (0.3%) participant refused to comment on gender. The following questionnaires were used: Basic Need Satisfaction in General, Short Version of the Scale of Positive and Negative Affective Experiences, The personal well-being index, College adjustment test, Perceived coronavirus threat questionnaire and the question related to academic success during the coronavirus epidemic. The results indicate the existence of a significant negative correlation between the results on the Perceived Coronavirus Threat Questionnaire and the results on the maladaptation subscale (College adjusment test) and the negative affect in the past month. Regression analyzes showed that general life satisfaction, positive and negative affects in the past month were significant positive predictors of the average grades obtained during the coronavirus epidemic. Positive affects in the past month and general life satisfaction are identified as positive predictors of academic adjustment, while negative affects in the past month is a negative predictor of academic adjustment. When predicting academic maladaptation, significant positive predictors were perceived coronavirus threat and negative affects in the past month. Positive affects in the past month and general life satisfaction are negative predictors of academic maladaptation. Satisfaction of basic psychological needs is not identified as significant predictor of any criteria.
