Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je ispitati stavove mladih o potrebama uključivanja osoba treće životne dobi u život zajednice i o njihovom položaju u društvu. U današnjem društvu starost često predstavlja trećinu čovjekova života i sve više ljudi doživljava duboku starost. Upravo zbog toga je potrebno istraživati promjene koje starost donosi, ulogu starijih osoba u društvu i potrebu uključivanja u život zajednice. Uključivanjem osoba treće životne dobi u život zajednice poboljšavamo njihovu kvalitetu života i zadovoljstvo životom, te smanjujemo usamljenost. Aktivnim sudjelovanjem u životu i aktivnostima zajednice, osobe treće životne dobi imaju priliku povećati broj svojih socijalnih interakcija i razviti pripadnost zajednici.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to examine the attitudes of young people about the need to include the elderly in community life and about their position in society. In today’s society, old age often accounts for a third of a person’s life and more and more people are experiencing deep old age. That is why it is necessary to explore the changes that age brings, the role of older people in society and the need to be included in community life. By including the elderly in the life of the community, we improve their quality of life and life satisfaction, and reduce loneliness. By actively participating in the life and activities of the community, the elderly have the opportunity to increase the number of their social interactions and develop community affiliation.
