Abstract
Cilj ovoga rada bio je validirati skalu radoholičarstva (WorkBAT) na hrvatski jezik te ispitati njegove psihometrijske karakteristike. Bilo je potrebno utvrditi njegovu faktorsku strukturu, provjeriti pouzdanost i ispitati konvergentnu, divergentnu te kriterijsku valjanost. Na uzorku od N=311 ispitanika, dobivena je trofaktorska struktura originalne verzije WorkBAT-a, ali se čestice nisu raspodijelile prema njihovim originalnim faktorima. Dobivena je visoka pouzdanost ove skale. Konvergentna valjanost sa skalom WART nije dobivena, kao ni divergentna valjanost sa skalom FFOCI-SF koja mjeri opsesivno-kompulzivni poremećaj ličnosti. Kriterijska valjanost je jedina dobivena valjanost u ovom istraživanju. Kao što je i predviđeno, skala WorkBAT pokazala se značajnim prediktorom sukoba na području privatnog s poslovnim životom, odnosno u Interakciji posao-kuća (tj. sa skalom SWING).
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to validate the Workaholic Scale (WorkBAT) in Croatian language and to examine its psychometric characteristics. It was necessary to determine its factor structure, its reliability and to examine convergent, divergent and criterion validity. On a sample of N = 311 subjects, a three-factor structure of the original version of WorkBAT was obtained, but the items were not distributed according to its original structure. High reliability of this scale was obtained. Convergent validity with the WART scale was not obtained, nor was divergent validity with the FFOCI-SF scale, which measures obsessive compulsive personality disorder. Criteria validity is the only validity obtained in this study. As predicted, the WorkBAT scale proved to be a significant predictor of professional vs private life conflict, ie in the work-home interaction (SWING scale).
