Abstract
Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Drama Woyzeck von Georg Büchner. Es werden der Vulgärmaterialismus und seine Funktion im Werk untersucht. Die Arbeit ist in zwei Teile geteilt und zwar den theoretischen Teil und die Analyse. Im theoretischen Teil wird relevante Sekundärliteratur zum Thema Vulgärmaterialismus im Drama herangezogen. In der Analyse werden die Erkenntnisse aus dem theoretischen Teil am ausgewählten Drama erprobt. Es wird erwartet, dass das analysierte Drama, Büchners Woyzeck, vom Vulgärmaterialismus geprägt ist. Dies wird vor allem in den Beziehungen zwischen den einzelnen Figuren deutlich, in denen zu sehen ist, dass das Materielle die Menschen steuert.
