Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati odnose usamljenosti, sklonosti dosadi, impulzivnosti, straha od propuštanja, kompenzacijske upotrebe Facebooka i generalizirane problematične upotrebe interneta. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 209 sudionika raspona dobi od 18 do 35 godina. Sudionici su online putem ispunili podatke od sociodemografskim podacima, kratku verziju UCLA skale usamljenosti (Hays i DiMatteo, 1987), kratku formu skale sklonosti prema dosadi (Struk, Carriere, Cheyne i Danckert,2015), Barrattovu skalu impuzivnosti (Patton i sur., 1995), subskalu kompenzacijske upotreba Facebooka skale psiho-socijalnih aspekata upotrebe Facebook-a (Bodroža i Jovanović, 2016) te skalu generalizirane problematične upotrebe interneta (Caplan, 2010). Nakon ispitanih interkorelacija među prediktorima i hijerarhijske regresijske analize, pokazalo se da su strah od propuštanja, sklonost dosadi i kompenzacijska upotreba Facebook-a značajni pozitivni prediktori generaliziranoj problematičnoj upotrebi interneta. Usamljenost ostvaruje svoj doprinos indirektno na objašnjenje simptoma problematične upotrebe interneta putem kompenzacijske upotrebe dok se impulzivnost nije pokazala značajnim prediktorom. Svi značajni prediktori međusobno su značajno povezani.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to examine relationships between loneliness, boredom proneness, impulsiveness, fear of missing out, compensatory Facebook use and the generalized problematic Internet use. The study involved 209 participants ranging from 18 to 35 years of age. Participant completed data on socio-demographic variables, Short form UCLA loneliness scale (Hays & DiMatteo, 1987), Short Boredom Proneness Scale (Struk, Carriere, Cheyne & Danckert,2015), Baratt Impulsiveness Scale (Patton i sur., 1995), subscale Compensatory Facebook use of psycho-social aspects of Facebook use (Bodroža & Jovanović, 2016) and Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale (Caplan, 2010). After examining inter-correlation between predictors and hierarchical regression analysis, it is possible to conclud that the fear of missing out, boredom proneness and the compensatory Facebook use are significant positive predictors of the generalized problematic Internet use. Futhermore, Loneliness contributes indirectly to the explanation of generalized problematic Internet use through compensatory Facebook use, while impulsiveness is not significant predictor. All significat predictors are mutually correlated.
