Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je dobiti uvid u emocije, što je to emocionalna kompetencija i inteligencija, emocionalni razvoj djeteta, koji se to faktori koji utječu na emocionalni razvoj te kako se može potaknuti emocionalni razvoj djeteta. Tijekom svog emocionalnog razvoja od ranog djetinjstva do adolescencije, djeca uče kontrolirati i raspoznavati svoje emocije. Škola, obitelj i vršnjaci imaju veliki utjecaj na emocionalni razvoj djeteta te bitna stavka u emocionalnom razvoju je i socijalizacija. U školi se kognitvni, afektivni i psihomotorički aspekti trebaju podjednako razvijali kako i se dijete uspješno razvilo. Nadalje, emocionalna inteligencija i emocionalna kompetencija, s teorijskog stajališta, se objedinjuju ta dva pojma, međutim emocionalna kompetencija je više usredotočena na znanja i sposobnosti koje bi pojedincu mogle pomoći pri funkcioniranju u raznim životnim situacijama. Također, emocionalna inteligencija djeteta je značajan prediktor akademskog uspjeha. Diljem svijeta postoje programi za poticanje emocionalne i socijalne kompetentnosti kod djece i adolescenata koji su izrazito potrebni kako bi se razbio skepticizam oko emocija te kako bi se djeca što bolje emocionalno razvila.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper was to gain insight into emotions, what is emotional competence and intelligence, emotional development of the child, factors influencing emotional development and how to stimulate emotional development of the child. During their emotional development from early childhood to adolescence, children learn to control and recognize their emotions. School, family, and peers have a great influence on the emotional development of the child. Also, the important element in emotional development is socialization. In the school, cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects should be developed equally if the child were to develop successfully. Furthermore, emotional intelligence and emotional competence, from the 20 theoretical point of view, combine these two concepts, but emotional competence is more focused on the knowledge and abilities which can help an individual to function in different life situations. Also, emotional intelligence of a child is a significant predictor of academic success. Throughout the world, there are programs to stimulate emotional and social competence in children and adolescents that are particularly needed to break the skepticism around the emotions and emotional development of the children.
