Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je istražiti ulogu spola i dobi na odnos depresivnosti, socijalne podrške i metaboličke kontrole dijabetesa. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 160 osoba oboljelih od dijabetesa tipa 1. U svrhu ispitivanja depresije korištena je Skala za samoprocjenu depresije (Zung, 1965), percepcije socijalne podrške Skala socijalne podrške (Jakovljević, 2004), dok se vrijednost glikoziliranog hemoglobina utvrdila na temelju medicinskih nalaza. Kod provjere efekata spola i dobi te njihovih interakcija na metaboličku kontrolu dijabetesa utvrđen je samo značajan efekt dobi, odnosno pokazano je kako postoji razlika između dobnih skupina s obzirom na kontrolu bolesti. Dodatnim analizama se pokazalo da adolescenti imaju najlošiju, a osobe srednje i kasne odrasle dobi najbolju metaboličku kontrolu. Kod ispitivanja uloge spola na odnos depresivnosti i socijalne podrške s metaboličkom kontrolom utvrđeno je kako nema prisutnih spolnih razlika između muškaraca i žena po pitanju povezanosti depresivnosti s kontrolom bolesti, dok je kod odnosa socijalne podrške i metaboličke kontrole utvrđena značajna pozitivna korelacija kod muškaraca, dok kod žena nije bilo povezanosti. Kod ispitivanja uloge dobi u odnosu depresivnosti i socijalne podrške s metaboličkom kontrolom dijabetesa utvrđene su dobne razlike. Pokazalo se kako kod osoba rane odrasle dobi, ali ne i kod adolescenata i srednje i kasne odrasle dobi, postoji povezanost između depresivnosti i metaboličke kontrole te socijalne podrške i metaboličke kontrole bolesti.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to examine the role of gender and age on the relationship between depression, social support and metabolic control of diabetes. The study included 160 people with diabetes type 1. Participants completed Self Rating Depression Scale (Zung, 1965), Scale of social support (Jakovljević, 2004) while the value od glycosylated hemoglobin determined from the medical findings. First checked the effects of gender and age, and their interactions on the metabolic control of diabetes and established a significant effect of age, exactly it is shown that there is a difference between age groups considering metabolic control of diabetes. Additional analyzes proved that adolescents have the worst and the middle-ages adults the best metabolic control. In examining the role of gender in the relationship of depression and social support to the metabolic control of disease has been found to present no gender differences between men and women regarding the connection of depression to control the disease. In the relationship of social support and metabolic control there was a significant positive correlation in men, while in women there was no connection. In examining the role of age in relation to depression and social support to the metabolic control of diabetes are identified age difference. It turned out that in those early adulthood, but not in adolescents and middle adulthood, there is a correlation between depression and glycemic control, and social support and metabolic disease control.
