Abstract
Die Diplomarbeit beinhaltet eine Untersuchung der neuzeitlichen Strömungen im Theater, die mit der Bezeichnung postdramatisch verbunden werden können. Die theoretische Basis bildet Hans-Thies Lehmans Auseinandersetzung mit dieser Thematik „Postdramatisches Theater“. Anhand dreier Werke Heiner Müllers wird die Entwicklung vom dramatischen zum postdramatischen Theater geschildert. Das Stück Die Schlacht hat hierbei die Rolle eines Vorzeigewerks bzw. Zwischenwegs Müllers gradueller postdramatischer Entwicklung. Die wesentlichen Merkmale der Schlacht, die wichtig für diese Untersuchung sind, sind hervorgehoben und gründlich ausgearbeitet, so dass sie als Einleitung der weiteren Untersuchung gelten. Die Hamletmaschine und Verkommenes Ufer Medeamaterial Landschaft mit Agronauten sind Repräsentanten deutscher Gegenwartdedramatisierung. Angefangen mit dem Entfallen der Handlung bis zur Körper(de)funktion, wird anhand dieser Stücke der Zerfall des Theaters verdeutlicht.
