Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati odnos između socijalne podrške i depresivnosti kod slijepih i slabovidnih osoba. U istraživanju je korišten sociodemografsko - zdravstveni upitnik, Beckov inventar depresivnosti za mjerenje depresivnih simptoma te Skala socijalne podrške za mjerenje percipirane socijalne podrške. Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazuju da postoji povezanost između socijalne podrške i depresivnosti kod slijepih i slabovidnih osoba. Viši stupanj socijalne podrške implicira nižu razinu depresivnosti kod slijepih i slabovidnih osoba. Hipoteza da postoji razlika u stupnju depresivnosti kod slijepih i slabovidnih osoba ovisno o tome jesu li sudjelovali u psihosocijalnoj rehabilitaciji nije potvrđena. Oni koji su uključeni u psihosocijalnu rehabilitaciju ne pokazuju značajno niže rezultate na ljestvici depresivnosti u odnosu na osobe koje nisu uključene.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this research was to examine relation of social support and depressiveness in blind and partially sighted people. The study used sociodemographic - health questionnaire, Beck's Depression Inventory, as a measure of depressive symptoms, and Perceived Social Support Scale was used to examine perception of received social support. The results have shown significant relation of social support and depressiveness in blind and partially sighted people. The higher level of social support implicates the lower level of depressiveness among blind and partially sighted people. The hypothesis that there is a difference in level of depressiveness among blind and partially sighted people according to participation in psychosocial rehabilitation was not confirmed. Participants that were involved in psychosocial rehabilitation do not show significantly lower results on Beck's depression inventor compared those that were not involved.
