Abstract
Ovaj rad usredotočit će se na usporedbu nekoliko književnih predložaka s filmom Melankolija redatelja Larsa von Triera. Rad će pokazati da postoje sličnosti među tekstovima koji pripadaju potpuno drukčijim žanrovima i koje su napisali različiti autori. Tekstovi će biti dovedeni u vezu sa spomenutim filmom te će se na taj način pokazati fotogeničnost i filmičnost hrvatske moderne. Veza među promatranim tekstovima i filmom uspostavit će se na tematsko-motivskoj razini. Također, pokazat će se sličnost subjekta u filmu i subjekta u tekstovima. Dokazat će se da i u promatranim tekstovima, kao i u filmu, dominira melankoličan subjekt. Nadređenim motivima pokazat će se motivi vode, čežnje, ljubavi, slutnje, a važan je i vrlo poseban odnos između muškarca i žene, odnos prijateljstvo-neprijateljstvo, ljubav-mržnja, svjetlo-sjena. Vrijednost je analiziranih tekstova, između ostaloga i u tome što su još uvijek aktualni i govore o univerzalnim temama pa ih je moguće promatrati i iz suvremene perspektive.
